ANATOLE ENERGY STORAGE
Anatole Energy Storage is a proposed 200-megawatt Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project that will bring sustainable, reliable energy to support the Texas grid. The project will be located on up to 20 acres of privately owned land in close proximity to a substation and major electrical corridor serving the residents of Henderson County.
Adding energy storage to the Texas grid allows extra power to be stored when demand is low, which is then used when demand for energy increases. This partnership will help to reduce or avoid price spikes and supply shortfalls. With Texas’ all-in energy production model, every type of energy generated can help Texas remain an energy leader with a strong, reliable grid.
This project is expected to be operational in 2026. It has the potential to provide taxpayers, schools districts, and other local institutions with reliable economic benefits for years to come
A STRONGER ECONOMY IN HENDERSON COUNTY
Anatole Energy Storage will bring in millions of dollars to the local community over the life of the project. The project will generate a new source of revenue that supports the most essential elements of the community, including schools, infrastructure, and local government.
